After completing basic surgical training he moved to NSW in order to undertake advanced training in Urology. After returning to St Vincent's in Melbourne he then took a valuable opportunity to work for 12 months as a Clinical Fellow in Endourology and Oncology at Stepping Hill Hospital, Manchester, UK. This world class unit has a large experience in advanced laparoscopic surgery, and has pioneered new techniques in minimally invasive stone surgery.
Dan Lenaghan is the current surgical education and training supervisor for urology trainees at St Vincent’s Public Hospital. He lectures for the University of Melbourne and is an undergraduate supervisor for medical students at the University of Notre Dame. He regularly consults and operates at St Vincent’s Public, Werribee Mercy and Goulburn Valley Hospital. He does private operating St Vincent’s Private Fitzroy, East Melbourne and Werribee hospitals, Epworth Freemasons and Shepparton Private.
Dan Lenaghan is a second generation Urologist. His father was a highly respected surgeon and held the presidency of the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand.
