Luke obtained his medical degree from the University of Melbourne and completed his residency years at Eastern and Monash Health in Melbourne. Luke then underwent advanced urological training interstate and gained extensive experience in large tertiary centres across a number of states of Australia including NSW, ACT and VIC. In his fellowship year, Luke underwent further training in complex uro-oncology and robotic surgery through St Vincent’s Hospital and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne.
In addition to clinical work, Luke has a passion for evidence-based medicine and is actively involved in research and teaching. Luke has authored numerous articles in respected medical journals as well as book chapters. He has presented his work at national and international conferences. Luke is well respected as a mentor and clinical supervisor through his involvement in teaching and recruitment of junior doctors, and has always been eager to share his knowledge and expertise with the next generation of urologists.
Outside of work Luke enjoys spending time with his young family and has a keen interest in basketball and golf.
Luke is also fluent in Mandarin (普通话).
Uro-Oncology (urological cancer) Treatment
Dr Wang treats patients using an open or minimally invasive (laparoscopic/robotic) approach for:
- Kidney cancer,
- Bladder cancer,
- Prostate cancer, and
- Other cancers (testicular and penile cancer)
Urological Management
Dr Wang also treats other urological conditions that are both non-surgical and minor surgical including the management of
- Enlarged Prostate,
- Kidney Stone Disease
- General Urology,
- Voiding Dysfunction,
- Men's health (ie scrotal swelling, erectile dysfunction, vasectomy and circumcision)
